A.L. Mabry is the Executive Editor of Our Write Side. She is an author, freelancer, and editor who enjoys writing in all genres and forms, even grocery lists. She is an artist and Wiccan who has an obsessive love of vampires, kilts, and blue butterflies. She is passionate about many topics and her posts are often laced with the snarky sense of humor one acquires from raising five teenagers, all at once.
When she is not writing, advocating, or creating handmade items for her Etsy shop, she can be found exploring creeks, mountains, and rivers, playing board games, videos games, and working on various projects with her loving husband, Shawn, and their children. She maintains her shreds of sanity with yoga, tea, and cats.
You can find a full listing of her works on her Amazon author page. She is also known around here as The Sassy Scorpio Scribe, while raising special needs awareness with The Juniper Files, the editor of Raising Voices (our teen scene), and the creator of the chilling Coldly Calculating writing prompt series. She writes regular articles for OWS Ink: Literary Journal.

There are many who will tell you Wendy Strain doesn’t live in the same world as the rest of us, but Wendy will tell you there are many worlds and we all have a choice as to which ones we want to live in. She’s happy to share a few with you and invites you to join along on the adventure of discovering new ones all the time.
At heart, Wendy loves great stories – living them, writing them, revising them, polishing them, even ghostwriting them! Today, she’s living her passion as a ghostwriter and freelance copywriter, completely dedicated to the written word in all its many wonderful forms.
Once upon a time, she worked as a journalist and community newspaper editor for a small section of the Dallas, Texas Metroplex. When newspaper started to die, she moved into freelance writing until she decided she really wanted that Master’s degree in English. Having accomplished that, she’s back to freelance copywriting and considering the PhD. Is she crazy? Check her out on your favorite social media channel and decide for yourself.
Wendy is the Managing Editor for Our Write Side. She also handles the backend, as well as social media and marketing. She hosts a ghostwriting column on Fridays with Letters to Casper and is the dedicated designer of OWS Ink: Literary Journal.
