I Am Woman

I Am Woman
January 26, 2012 20 Comments Writing Stephanie Ayers

I am strong
I am woman
Alone in my thoughts
I solve world peace.

I am a rock
I am woman
I am the beginning
And the end of life.

I am a thunderstorm
I am woman
With a mood
I can destroy nations.

I am strong
As a rock
In a thunderstorm
I am a goddess
I Am Woman.

Wow. Very powerful poem. I was tempted to try that prompt but my poetry skills (that don’t exist) failed me 🙂

A strong woman is like a fierce storm. Excellent analogy and poem. I’m feeling pretty powerful after reading it. Great job!

love the new look of the blog (been reading on my phone) and this poem too. It reminds me of my favorite feminists. 🙂

    Great work!

You know what’s weird? This design is not typically my style–like I wouldn’t decorate with this paper, but for this blog? it just fits. I like the clean style of the theme, and the background is a paper from a kit called “The Story of My Life.” Then, the rest just flowed in.

I am so not a feminist, LOL.

I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of poetry because a) I’m not smart enough to get most of it and b) I SUCK at writing it. However, this was awesome. Great work!

GAh! Everytime I write a poem it is all cheesy and rhymie. I couldn’t for the life of me come up with one that actually means sometning! That must be why God invented people like you!
