In her third trimester of pregnancy with twins, Sandra Derringer, a private investigator, faces a stalker while trying to solve the disappearance of three-year-old, Ashlee Adams. The tot’s spirit’s first appearance has disastrous consequences for Sandra. A bundle of hormones and nerves, her determination to solve a murder others assume is a missing child’s case, Sandra must face resistance from every side. With her sidekick fur-baby, Drew, by her side, his unruly relationship with the persistent child’s spirit offers the only comedy relief Sandra finds. Nothing funny hides in the truth of what happened to little Ashlee.
In the second installment of the Sandra Derringer Chronicles, Sandy’s ability to channel the other side has come at the wrong time. Sandy is reeling with the aftermath of her and her fiancé solving a major case, a case that it seems has given them more issues than they needed. As Sandy and her fiancé, Scott, prepare for their wedding and the birth of their twins, Sandy is determined to solve the mystery behind the disappearance of a little girl. Sandy’s clues begin with the girl herself and lead her on the trail of whom she is convinced is her killer.
Although Sandy is pregnant with twins, she is determined to find out what happened to Ashlee. The one and only clue isn’t an easy lead and is quite frustrating for Sandy. Before she has her twins, Sandy is able to solve the mystery behind Ashlee’s disappearance and give her family the closure they desperately need.
I couldn’t stop reading this book! I love the suspense leading up to the who done it! This book is a must read for those who love not just mysteries but books about the paranormal. I was convinced I could feel how Sandy was feeling with the amazing descriptions throughout the book leading up to Sandy solving the crime. I can’t wait to read the next installment.
