January 22, 2014 7 Comments Master Class, Writing Stephanie Ayers

Storch-BadgeI issued out the assignment. Five of you accepted the challenge. Five of you (including myself) wrote a story based on this line from Veronica Roth’s Divergent: “There is one mirror in my house.”

Stacey started it with a haunting story of a woman seeing the ghost of her younger self every time she looked in the Mirror, Mirror.

I wrote a melancholy tale of a girl who, in The Thirteenth Year of her life, discovers exactly who the boarder really is.

Lexy joined in with a tale of woe of the Solace of being trapped within the mirror.

Amanda Lynn stepped out of her comfort zone to bring us a tale of seduction and murder.  Her story captured my attention and she has been asked to choose the opening line from any book of her choosing for the next assignment. She chose:

The challenge is to use this line to as either the first line OR the last line of your story. You have until Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 9:00 PM EST to link up your contribution of any genre, with no word limitations.

Ready? Set? Write!

The linkup is now live.
